Best read of 2002 and every year since.
Thank you Princess.

Everyone just needs their lucky break.
Just make sure you’re not sat on the loo when yours arrives….
What kind of parent...
…buys their child presents for Christmas and then says they can’t keep them?
Am I the only one
emmabutton:
That finds a face full of metal totally unattractive?
Nope.
shaneharley:
i’m having so many issues with lense choice, i can either go:
keep my 28-70 f2.8 L and buy a slightly longer zoom, maybe a sigma 70-200 f2.8
or
sell 28-70, buy a 24-105 f4.0 L and a prime, maybe a 50mm f1.4 or a 35mm f1.4.
argh. can’t decide.
If working with film, I’d go for more light, so f1.4 would do the trick. Digital, well, it’s all about photoshop these days,...
My life is creeping up on me.

But at least you heard it coming, so it won’t run you over….
Happy Christmas!!
Doesn’t matter what I wanted, I got everything I needed - my family. Together.
May your God be with you all.

A movie about fighting wars we don’t understand. This is how it is, somebody is sitting on something we want so we fight them off of it.
I thought the storyline was a little corny and a little mundane at the best of places but the underlying truth of it was just that, a truth. We are in a world where anything that is foreign to us yet desirable, we just fight it. And who started...

How do you know what Santa will bring?
First stanza of 12 Days of Christmas by poet...
On the first day of Christmas,
a buzzard on a branch.
In Afghanistan,
no partridge, pear tree;
but my true love sent to me
a card from home.
I sat alone,
crouched in yellow dust,
and traced the grins of my kids
with my thumb.
Somewhere down the line,
for another father, husband,
brother, son, a bullet
with his name on.
I want out of Somerset already...
cause-and-solution:
I’ve been back here 2-3 days. No one’s around, they’re either married or moved away. Barely any snow. Access to car only some of the time. Nowhere within walking distance. A bus every hour which costs the Earth to go to a hole known as Weston-Super-Mare. No internet, tv or phoneline up until a few hours ago today. My mobile keeps playing up too. I’m not meaning to complain...

God I feel sorry for the poor bastard that has to stand dressed as a taco on Tuesday evenings near my place.
Have you asked him how he feels?

Am i the only loser who is excited about my third year of uni next year?

My biggest failure
So you think you can tell heaven from hell,
emmabutton:
blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We’re just two lost...
ffffffuuuuuu!!

On my train sat opposite me is a boy in a brixton bobble hat with a flannel checked shirt, skinny jeans, and dark turquoise vans eras with mustard laces and stitching. I think I am in love.
That’s not love. It’s lust.
Why there was no post yesterday...
Heavy snow and freezing temperatures badly affected the area throughout the night and early morning. Going out in my Land Rover at 07:45, I found eight inches of snow and appalling conditions, especially to the east of Dover. It was still snowing hard, the weather forecast was dire and we took the decision to cancel deliveries. We concentrated trying to deliver Special Delivery items. Both...
