An eclectic collection of trivia, observation, cynicism, wit....
and the occasional rant.
Enjoy!

I'm Mark. Older than you imagine, pescetarian, husband, father, professional parent & pedant.

I post some original stuff and a bunch of other things that I like. If you own the rights to something you see here and you're not happy about me sharing it, let me know.
Exquisite.

Exquisite.

Outstanding.
Urban Dictionary defines ‘catastrophy’ thus:  Mispelling of catastrophe. One of those scenarios when you know the word looks wrong, but you can’t figure out what’s wrong with it.

Vanishing Point
Here’s another odd “sculpture” in Kings Wood. An anomalous wooden railing that serves absolutely no purpose at all runs as straight as a die as far as the eye can see. It’s a clue that tells us we’re in a managed forest; an installation like that would be impossible in a natural woodland.

I don’t know about you guys, but I always saved those free CDs that fall out of magazines, “just in case” I came up with something useful to do with them. Clearly, I’m not alone. Here, the artist Elise Morin and architect Clémence Eliard have created a 500 square meter landscape from 65,000 old CDs, all sorted and hand sewn together. Not only are they more creative than me, they have infinitely more patience.
